Bicarbonate Soda Deodorant

Bicarbonate soda is probably the most useful thing any one can have in their house. Bicarb kitchen bench and bathroom cleaner, bicarb toothpaste, bicarb itch reliever and now it's bicarb deodorant

Bicarb deodorant is as simple as keeping a container of naturally mined bicarb in your bathroom cupboard, gym bag or wherever you keep deodorant and dabbing it on as relevant.

It is a white powder so you do have to think a little more about your clothes, but it is an effective deodorant for many people. If you are wearing super dark colours, or need something stronger, consider making a more robust deodorant.

Bicarb deodorant isn't for everyone and if you cake on too much of it over a long period or you experience redness, a rash or cracked skin, don't continue to use it. I have never personally had any issues with it, but I only use it once a day.

If you are the kind of person who gets a bit stinky easily, don't blame your personal hygiene straight up. Even the cleanest person can get BO. It is not you per se, rather, the bacteria under your arms that is whiffy and that is what bicarb kills.

Vicki - I started using limes last year and can tell you that so far they have never bleached my clothes. I just don't think there is enough actual liquid to have that kind of effect. Friday, 3 June 2016

I do wonder if lemon or limes will bleach your clothes? Saturday, 28 May 2016

I use bi carb as a deodorant. I started using limes, but have just found bi carb to be much easier to manage. It works brilliantly. Just remember to put it on as soon as you get out of shower. Monday, 30 November 2015
