4 Ways to Naturally Glowing Skin

Achieving a radiant glow, the natural and simple way

There are plenty of beauty products out there promising a radiant glow. The catch is that an artificial glow created from cosmetics with potentially harmful ingredients, can never replace the natural glow healthy skin will have. While we all know the basics of eating, exercising and sleeping well to achieve glowing skin, there are a few specific things that can help you along the way on your quest for natural, glowing skin.

Stay Hydrated

Dehydrated skin can look dull and tired, so for a radiant glow getting the recommended amount of water per day is vital. Depending on your needs it can vary, but drinking two litres of water a day is vital to radiant skin.

Dry Body Brushing

Dry body brushing helps to remove dead skin cells and to stimulate the lymphatic system. All you need to do is to find a soft natural fiber body brush and firmly brush your body in an upward direction towards the major lymph nodes in the body, such as the groin, armpits and base of the neck.

Moisturize Correctly

The best time to moisturize your body and face is right after the bath or shower when pores are open. For best results, use an organic product so you do not stress your skin out with moisturizers that contain harsh fragrances or alcohol.

Eat To Protect Your Skin

Selenium is a powerful antioxidant that is known to protect against symptoms of sun damage, such as sun spots. Selenium is found Brazil nuts, eggs, cereal grains and fish. Foods rich in vitamin E, such as spinach and sunflower seeds, keep your skin supple by protecting its top layers from the sun.

With these skin boosting tips, you can skip all of the commercial beauty products that claim to offer glowing skin, (but are really just filled with harmful chemicals), and take the natural route to radiant skin.
