Our honey is sourced from the hives of my father-in-law, an apiarist (bee-keeper) for over 30 years. His hives are moved around so the bees have access to the best flowering trees in and around the Blue Mountains, in Western Sydney. Each 125gram jar of Bumble BonBons are filled with rich, pure and uniquely flavoursome honey.
Knobel Honey is premium, organic, raw bush honey from the Australian outback. Our bees live on native Australian bushland outside of the small country town of Clermont in Central Queensland, where they graze on native Australian trees such as Wattle, Spotted Gum, Ghost Gum, Blue Gum, Rosewood, Red River Gum, Narrow Leaf Ironbark, Coolabah and Silver Leaf Ironbark. Our bees live in harmony with the native bush animals of the area including kangaroos, emus, goannas, echidnas, kookaburras and the odd taipan snake. At Knobel, our hives and bees are not treated with chemicals or pesticides and there is no commercial farming in our bees grazing area. We only take honey from the hive when the bees have enough to share, and we do not take honey from our bees in winter or in drought. Knobel Honey is pure and unheated, harvested the in small batches, and bottled by hand.
The Honey Pot and Bruny Island Honey are the houses of honey venues where you can find a range of Tasmanian honeys and other honey-products.The Honey Pot and Bruny Island Honey is a small business run by the Wright family. We source our honey from our own hives, about 900 hives which we move year-round to follow the blossoming flower trail so our bees can collect a variety of nectar from different floral sources - Lake Pedder, to Bruny Island, and to the Huon and Derwent Valleys, where they collect Leatherwood and Bush, Prickly Box and Manuka Honey.Catch us at the Salamanca market every Saturday, and our Bruny and Huon Valley venues are open 7 days each week.
