Chia seeds are a little seeds packed with goodness. They contain protein, fibre, calcium, vitamin C, iron and potassium. It is recommended that one tablespoon of chia seeds is consumed each day to maximise these health benefits.

As well as including them in our cooking, we can eat chia seeds by sprinkling it on our breakfast cereals, soups and salads as well as mixing it in your water bottle.

By making your own cookies you know what exactly goes in them and how good they are for your health. Try making as much as your food as you can. Not only will you be a whizz in your kitchen but you can be certain about what you are feeding your family and avoid nasty preservatives and additives.
