The Very Good Bra is Crowdfunding Paisley

"We fundamentally believe that everything we make in the 21st Century should be designed with its end in sight. No excuses."

I am Stephanie Devine from The Very Good Bra and if you don't know me, I make 100% compostable bras. And I crowdfund every new range so that my production is zero waste. No deadstock.

I am so proud to announce that in collaboration with iconic UK Liberty Fabric, I have now been able to make a beautiful new paisley patterned bra that is completely true to everything The Very Good Bra stands for. We are currently crowdfunding Bras and Undies for Spring.

The body of the bra is organic cotton with a print in REACH dyes. This new design for us, as always, has no underwires and is super soft on the body. For the first time we've inserted a front V wire which gives great separation and support across all sizes, and works particularly well with larger cups. The bra has a woven organic cotton liner in the band that sits next to the body and anchors it in place, preventing it stretching over time. Because there is no spandex in the bra, it can run a little smaller in size than your regular bra as it has less stretch.

Our classic boy-leg brief has soft elastic in the waist and legs to give you maximum comfort and breathability, with no VPL. These briefs contain no spandex to keep them fully compostable, so if you like a looser fit, buy up a size.

Everything in this underwear, from the elastic, tencel sewing thread and custom-made hook and eye pieces is botanically circular, designed to break down in nature at end-of-life and leave no trace.

It's incredibly humbling to work with such an iconic, sustainable and game-changing fabric brand, Liberty Fabric, particularly given the huge impact it made on me as a child wanting to make clothes.

Our Liberty Paisley collection is a limited edition, although we hope to make more collections with different prints if you love this one. We are launching via a crowdfund/pre-sale as ever, to both fund this premium collection, and to minimise production waste across our wide size range.
