Karston makes a range of simple, functional and beautiful stationery made from stone paper.
Designed in Sydney Australia, Karst Stone Paper is made from recycled waste stone produced by the mining industry and construction industry.
We combine it with a non-toxic, recyclable binding agent to make stone paper. The result is a superior alternative to traditional pulp paper - smoother, brighter, waterproof, tear-resistant, and environmentally sustainable.
At Karston, our products are born from a single intention, to respect people and planet and we strive to follow this principle from beginning to end.
Processing does not involve cutting trees, water usage, wastes, acids or bleaches. Our manufacturing is powered in part by solar energy, leaving a 60% smaller carbon footprint than traditional paper.
