KapoK fiber was used decades ago as an affordable comfortable sustainable fiber for mattress and pillow fill. Petrochemical companies fought to control as many manufacturing lines as possible in the 1950's. KapoK was one of the casualties, mimicked into micro fibers and hollow fill which takes 000's of years to break down and fosters mold, mildew and dust mites.
Whereas KapoK is naturally anti-bacterial and moisture resistant so no mold, mildew or bugs and no chemicals. Being a natural fiber it does compact over time however KapoK has the unique ability to 'puff / fluff' back up again when placed in direct sunlight.
Your pillow will last up to 5 years and your mattress even longer making them a fine investment in yours and the planets health.
