Ink & Spindle

Ink & Spindle is a boutique textile studio based in Abbotsford, Melbourne, offering a range of homewares and accessories. Owned and run by designers Lara Cameron & Caitlin Klooger, the designs are largely inspired by nature and the founders' hometown of Melbourne. Rather than following current design or fashion trends too closely, their aim is to design textiles that have inherent longevity and which will fit in your life for many years to come. The products are printed with water based, solvent free inks onto natural fabrics such as organic cotton, eco-linen, hemp & yak blend fabrics.

Winter Creek Flowers

Winter Creek is a sustainable micro-flower farm growing lavender and seasonal cut-flowers in Central Victoria. The farm specializes in growing lavender as well as a small range of cut-flowers. Winter Creek is committed to doing their best to be good custodians of their small and beautiful piece of land.

Happy Underground

Happy Underground is a human-scale, participatory market garden in Yackandandah, Victoria growing utterly awesome, hand-tended produce for hyper-local eaters. Their fruits and vegetables are grown using bee-friendly farming practices, handpicked and delivered fresh to local vendors.

Crazy Arms Clothing

Created by Aussie dads, Crazy Arms Clothing aims to put some fun into the serious business of sun protection for kids. The goal was to make the process less messy and less hassle every morning, and reduce the amount of chemicals absorbed through the skin. CrazyArms® help protect arms from dawn to dusk. They come in fun and funky kid-friendly designs, or plain colours for sports and school wear. Over 80% of the range is made in Australia. 1% of all sales go to Healthy Seas to help fund their work.

we are the grounded

we are the grounded is all about gift giving with purpose. By sending one of their carefully sourced gifts or gift boxes to your bestie, your mum, your lover, your brother, you're not only giving them a gorgeous surprise, you're also helping to make a difference in the wider community. We are the grounded works exclusively with suppliers who are doing good. They also donate 10% profits to social enterprises and organisations who are bettering the world we live in.

Upton Grove

Upton Grove is a Demeter Certified Bio-Dynamic orchard in the cool climate Strathbogie Ranges of north east Victoria. They grow cherries, peaches and olives. Their focus is soil health which provides nutritious, delicious food and contributes directly to overall human health via our regenerative practices. Upton Grove is a Victorian Farmer’s Markets Association (VFMA) accredited farm. They also supply to local organic and bio-dynamic suppliers via the Biodynamic Marketing Company.

Double Denim

Double Denim makes beautiful heat packs which are 100% plant-based and made to last. However, if your pack reaches the end of its life, you can safely compost it in your garden or put it into your green waste bin. The packs are made from 100% cotton denim (provided by their supply partner, Nobody Denim, out of end-of-cycle material). The prints are GOTS-certified cotton. The stitching, liner and even their product tags are cotton (and this means tiny offcuts can be composted). The packs are filled with Australian-grown lupin beans, or 'lupins', as they are sometimes known. Their packaging is 100% recycled paper. Double Denim is a social enterprise committed to women’s recovery from homelessness. Every one of our heat packs makes a difference – we donate $5.00 to Catherine House for every one sold, as well as one heat pack for every 10 sold.

Berry Farmers Market

Berry Farmers Market is a weekly market offering fresh local produce, fruit & vegetables, seafood, live entertainment and more. Mid-week markets not only provide an extra market for producers, who are often already committed on weekends, but give families the opportunity to make shopping for local food a regular part of their week. The afternoon time slot means that garden produce can be picked earlier that day.

Powerpants

Australian eco-brand Powerpants® launched in 2019 on a mission to help women find their power. Powerpants believes that business has an important role to play in tackling climate change and providing conscious consumers with products that are kind to the planet and people. Powerpants are made from GOTS certified organic cotton, and printed with water-based OEKO-TEX certified ink. They use recycled and recyclable paper packaging from Ecocern Pty Ltd,  noissue, and PrintTogether.

GoodFish

GoodFish is a sustainability initiative by the Australian Marine Conservation Society, designed to help its community understand more about their seafood. The Sustainable Seafood Guide is Australia’s first entirely independent consumer source of reference, it offers a holistic approach to assessing the environmental impact of Australian fisheries and aquaculture operations. The GoodFish Restaurant Guide provides diners with a list of venues around the country who have committed to removing unsustainable seafood from their menus. When you dine in these restaurants, you can be certain of their seafood choices through their support of our restaurant program.

Lord Howe Island

Immerse yourself in the spectacular surroundings and experience some of the world’s best day hikes, snorkelling on the coral reef, hand-feeding fish on Ned’s Beach and much more in this multi award winning, World Heritage-listed paradise, situated less than a 2 hour flight from Sydney or Brisbane. While the rest of the world ponders over the recent news that a million species globally are facing extinction from human activities, Lord Howe Island is celebrating the success of 40 years protecting its unique species, by removing the last introduced feral mammal pests. A strict plant importation policy, and a sound biosecurity policy with cargo and ship movements, is in place to ensure no unwanted plant or animal pests arrive on the island.

Port Douglas Daintree

Port Douglas is a chic, yet relaxed sea-side village, perfect for couples, families and solo travellers alike, with a range of accommodation options to suit all budget. The village is also the ideal base to explore the World Heritage-Listed Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest (including Cape Tribulation) with an abundance of tours and day trips available. Alternatively, disconnect from the digital world entirely and spend a few nights in the World’s oldest living rainforest, the Daintree, and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of nature. As a forward thinking, dynamic region in its approach to sustainable tourism, the Douglas Shire Council and the area’s 12,000 residents have introduced environmental and sustainability practices on a unique scale. Inspired by local Ecotourism Australia-certified champions and driven by the Douglas Shire Council, Tourism Port Douglas Daintree and Ecotourism Australia, the Port Douglas and Daintree region is Australia’s first to achieve ECO Destination Certification. With an average year-round temperature of 26 degrees centigrade it’s always a good time to visit Port Douglas and the Daintree!
