Hair and scalp health

At Apteka we believe optimum hair health is a bi-product of a healthy diet, (high in Protein, Zinc and Calcium), including anti oxidants like green tea and vitamin supplements (especially the b group), regular (moderate) exercise and maintaining a clean healthy scalp. Regular (gentle) brushing, mild cleansing and scalp treatments all assist in creating the perfect environment for each strand to reach its full potential. Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp. It is important to treat the hair in a gentle manner. Never pull or tug the hair when it is wet. Wet hair is more prone to damage, as water makes it stretch more than normal. Over cleansing the scalp with harsh shampoos only contributes to over-drying the scalp causing further oiliness/dryness and irritation. Always use a gentle shampoo and conditioner derived from natural ingredients.

Environment

Please care for the environment and recycle. Apteka products are bio-degradable and bottles are recyclable. We are now printing on bottles to avoid plastic labels. Brochures are written on recycled paper. No animal products are used and Apteka does not test on animals. Avoid products with synthetic ingredients, tar and zincs or mineral oils as they are a major cause of pollution in our water drains.
